In DC we're feeling an anything-but-balmy mid-90's and maximum humidity. At this temperature, sweat is inevitable. Hey dearest sunset seekers, 

So there comes a time when the sun is setting, and the photos are rushed, and the result is epically bad photography - including cutting out the bf for a full body shot. That bad. No worries, I have included a lovely sunset wakeboard photo of some anonymous person to help us move past this.

Hello dearest bargain hunters,

Working downtown in DC means that I am dangerously close to J.Crew, Anthropologie, Zara, H&M, T.J. Maxx, and Forever 21. A couple of times a week after work I'll spend a few hours browsing new styles, accessories... and most importantly, searching for a fabulous bargain. Because you can treat yourself to something if it's a good deal, right??

This week I snagged two great items, each under $20:

1) Blouse from Forever 21 - what a gem. The pleating in the front mimics a Theory, Joie, or DVF top. The neon trim is a great detail and the fit is flattering. I sized down one size and it still has the roomy fit of a blouse.

2) Necklace from Anthropologie - I actually had my eye on it when it was full price at $38. What a treat to find it an additional 20% off of $19.99. The gems are eye catching and I love the sophistication from the black & white mixed with snake print.

I wore these items with Rag and Bone white pants, a Clare Vivier leopard clutch, and Tory Burch nude flats and it was lovely for a weekday dinner date.

The Ball Game

Happy 4th of July, dearest firecracker readers! Today we're heading to the Washington National's game to celebrate America with tall cold beer and brats. Here are our "what to wear to a baseball game" selections.

1. Sporty - always a good choice

2. Indoor/ Club Seats - Work social event at the ball game? The indoors are neither as hot nor rowdy

3. Date - sporty also works here, but if you'd like to get a bit more dressy try a stripe cotton dress. Loving this one from Target.

Watermelon Infused Tequila

So, you may have recently seen my  watermelon, feta, and mint salad with lime vinaigrette and you're thinking, "Watermelon, yet again." But who can turn down the idea of FRESH watermelon margaritas just in time for the 4th of July? Certainly not this girl. This is an easy recipe and an exciting treat to bring to a 4th of July party.

Ingredients
1 750 ml bottle of white or silver 100% agave tequila
1/4 of a large watermelon cubed
1 sealable bottle (this one is from the Container Store and approximately $6.00)

Directions
1) Wash and dry container.
2) Add watermelon and fill container with tequilla, approximately 2 inches above the watermelon.
3) Infuse for 2 days - 1 week at room temperature
4) After infused, can be kept in the fridge

Watermelon Margaritas
3 oz watermelon infused tequilla
1/2 lime, juiced
2 tablespoons Grand Marnier or Cointreau (or other triple sec)

Add ingredients over ice and shake. Pour and serve. Yum!
