Playing with Color: Pastels

Atlantic Pacific's Blair Eadie has mad style... and the ability to use color without looking too cutesy.

The secret to combining mint, light pink, and a washed blue without looking like an Easter Egg?
1. Tone it down with nude accessories
 2. Pile on gold bangles
3. Top it off with some retro-style shades for a bit of funk
4. Rough roll the sleeves (yes, suppress the OCD urge to make your sleeves look even and tidy)

Res Ipsa

Res Ipsa Loquitur.
This Latin phrase roughly translates to "the thing speaks for itself." I like pairing this red bow hat with simple structured basics...allowing the hat speak for itself. :)

Travel to: Cambodia

Angkor Wat

Sweet faces and smiles of local children

Heavenly nymphs - looks like thin was in circa 100 B.C.

Bayon

Bayon.

Angkor Wat is truly magnificent. From a distance it is easy to appreciate the perfect symmetry of the 5 gorgeous peaks. Up close, it's a work of art with distinct detail on each and every wall & no shortage of nymphs. It was built in the first half of the 12th century (113 - 5 BC) - and took an estimated 30 years to complete. Surprisingly it's well preserved. Even more surprisingly, few things are off-limits so you can climb, touch, and explore until you've had your Indiana Jones or Lara Croft fix. (*Lara Croft Tomb Raider was actually filmed here in 2000.)

Travel: Fly into Siem Reap. Angkor Wat is about 4 miles north of Siem Reap.

Stay: There are gorgeous hotels in Cambodia. Despite the apparent elegance, most don't have A/C. If you venture there in the summer months definitely check to see if there's air conditioning. It's hot, hot, hot!

Try: An elephant ride, feeding the monkeys

Wear: Pants. Leave the daytime dress at home, it's a real adventure.
